Easter

Ian enjoyed Easter, and he really got into the egg hunt this year. Of course his late night from Easter Vigil mass resulted in him sleeping in until Audrey convinced us at 8 AM that it was enough already! He loved his new construction addition to his GeoTrax set.

Meeting daddy's colleague

Ian has been under the weather, to the point that we skipped gymnastics this morning. I was scheduled to talk at BSU, and Ian was going to spend that time with Eric. Ian was soooooo excited to get to go to daddy's work. Or maybe it was because he got to skip his nap? He agreed to sleep in the car on the way there, and was out like a light, almost on command. Eric greeted us in the parking lot, and he escorted us up to his department. When we were heading to his office, we passed the office of one of Eric's colleagues.

Eric: "Ian, can you say hi?"

Ian: (smiling, shy) "Hi! I've been coughing."

To which we all thought was so cute and endearing. And then Ian adds:

"And I just tooted!"

Love, love, love this little boy.

Christmas

Santa Claus came to town! We stayed home this year, and Ian got in on writing Santa a letter. More of an abstract drawing than a letter, but Santa understood! Of course Ian has been an awesome little boy this past year, so he got to add to his GeoTrax set. This kid is all about planes, trains, and automobiles!

Don't ask why there's a stroller and a baby doll in our Christmas photo...

Polar Express!

Ian loves trains, so when he was introduced to The Polar Express movie, it was love at first site. So, we knew he would LOVE riding on The Polar Express train ride from Fishers to The North Pole (aka Noblesville), getting to wear his pajamas, sing carols, drink hot chocolate, and eat cookies. But, Eric and I weren't sure how he would take seeing the Big Guy, since his visit with Santa at school hadn't gone very well. So, when Santa sat down right next to Ian, we were all a little nervous, but it turns out, Santa's still got it, and Ian fell in love with him.

It was a magical night!
